I was 40 weeks yesterday with baby number 4. Today, the midwife tried to tell me that the American OB group now believes 42 weeks to be too long and recommends inducement at 41 weeks now. Somehow, I managed to get out of the office without being put on the calendar, but I do have an appointment for a "lecture" from the ob on Tuesday. They don't care that not one of my babies has arrived before 41 weeks, happy and healthy. They don't care that I'm well read and knowledgable. All they care about (basically admitted to me) was not getting sued. Like I need frustration at this stage... Keep writing and getting information out there.
