I've looked them up on facebook and really think this is an organization worth supporting.

Kudos to you as well for your lovely blog posts.... a nice mix of personal and professional. Keep up the good work! (PS - I've especially enjoyed the series on birth around the world - other cultures' way of doing this most natural of things is so fascinating to me!)Saintly Nursehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11840700865236024514noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20642800.post-41613322279242198502010-10-29T15:17:04.578-04:002010-10-29T15:17:04.578-04:00The owner of the birth center I went to is the one...The owner of the birth center I went to is the one who started this up. She has two facilities open in the Portland, OR area, Andaluz Waterbirth Center. We frequently get updates on the progress and people volunteer to staff the facility from the Yahoo group that is run for families who have gone to Andaluz. They do auctions a lot to raise money. I got to see a bunch of pictures of the construction still going on there as well as information from the surrounding villages. They've been interviewing people to find out the greatest needs of the area and seeing what they can do beyond helping women to have safe, healthy births. Great bunch of people!Cassandrahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03576504078115706818noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20642800.post-4239145622191830252010-10-29T14:57:50.437-04:002010-10-29T14:57:50.437-04:00I'm so glad you posted about this! It's such a good cause, and we need to get as much support as possible :)Cherylynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10683110268816902044noreply@blogger.com
