Since Zari has a baby doll, I decided that the doll needed diapers--cloth ones of course! I pulled out scraps from making Zari's diapers and concocted a tiny pattern to fit her doll. Here are some pictures of the bamboo velour AIO diapers in progress.
Keep your eyes out for a pattern! I just need to draw out a nice-looking one and scan it in. Mine has Zari scribbles all over it. The diaper fits a baby doll that is around 12" long.
That's Awesome!
ReplyDeleteI haven't even gotten around to making Margaret diapers- let alone a doll. :) I bet they'd be great premie size, though. :)
ReplyDeletePrecious!!
ReplyDeleteHope they won't leak LOL
You have way too much time on your hands. I think this calls for another kid.
ReplyDeleteThey're fantastic! Great job my little girl is jealous! :D
ReplyDeleteToo cute.
ReplyDeleteVery cute. Very, very cute. I'll have to remember this once Rachel gets old enough for dolls. :)
ReplyDeletefor some reason this jsut tickles me and ijust can't stop giggling. how cute are they!
ReplyDeleteI made some doll diapers for my older DS when DS 2 was born...only i didn't use the fancy fabrics, i just used some plain flannel. Gee, you totally make me look lame. LOL!
ReplyDeleteThose are fantastic! They would be a great preemie size. :)
ReplyDeleteThose are fantastic. My son is a few months older than your daughter and still sleeps in a sleepsack; he decided early this summer that his tiny bear named Iki ABSOLUTELY had to sleep in a sleepsack too, but was frustrated that a baby-sized garment wouldn't stay on an eight-inch-tall bear. So that was my tiny (and urgent) sewing project ... They sure do look cute in their identical long yellow sacks, ready for bed :)
ReplyDeleteIs it odd that I'm so totally excited about these?! Can't wait to use your pattern. I've been sewing our cloth shopping bags the last few weeks and am just about finished getting a nice stash of those together. So now I'll start on diapers for the baby dolls. YAY!
ReplyDeleteCould you do a post on making your diapers for Zari? I would love to know what pattern you used and where you ordered your materials.
ReplyDeleteJane,
ReplyDeleteI think I posted about this elsewhere. I made Chloe Toes AIOs that I modified to have hook & loop closure. I bought my PUL and H&L tape from verybaby.com and the absorbent fabrics from various cloth diapering coops. Anyway if you search "chloe" on this blog you'll probably come up with more about the diapers.
