We arrived in the Great White North this evening after 14 hours of traveling (2 car rides, 1 shuttle bus ride, 2 plane rides, a 2-hour layover, and a 2-hour wait at the border). It's nice to be "home" at my in-laws'. I am so glad we didn't drive the whole way; it would have been three 12-hour days in the car each way. Most of Eric's siblings and their children are arriving this week, so we'll have a house packed full of kids for the next few weeks. I'm so excited to see all of my husband's siblings and spouses. They are some of my closest friends and we always have a great time together.
all I can say i yuck yuck yuck. i though our travel distances were far here! enjoy your family holiday!
ReplyDeleteWelcome! That mountie looks like MY dh! (that's what he does--though i think it's more involved than standing around holding the flag all day....). I wonder how far away from me you are?
ReplyDeleteLangley, BC.
Have a wonderful vacation!
We're in southern Alberta right now.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get there. Break Aunt Carol and Gma in for us!
ReplyDeleteHave fun! We head out on our family trip tomorrow. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteabout 8 to 10 hours away! :) Enjoy your family time.
ReplyDeleteI'm so jealous you are vacationing in Canada! Enjoy the time with your inlaws! We won't be travelling back to Canada this summer because we just had our baby boy on June 4. A wonderful homebirth that went perfectly. Hopefully we'll get back to see family in the autumn.
ReplyDeleteWelcome! I live in Calgary, so not far from where you are vacationing. Your trip here didn't sound like my idea of fun. =P I have to say that DH and I are kind of travel adverse with our wee ones (3 and almost 8 months), though we are trying to plan a trip to Sacramento to visit some friends there. I hope you have a great vacation!!
