I no longer have a placenta in my freezer

I planted a weeping tree rose in this V-shaped garden area (which was all grass a few weeks ago)
It should look like this:

  1. i'm having a hard time taking Trillian's placenta out of my freezer. we'll be moving this year to washington state. i don't have the heart. part of me says "it's just a placenta" and the other part feels overwhelmingly connected to it.

  2. I planted my second child's placenta under a tree in our front yard. The tree guys that came to plant it looked at me like I was nuts when I explained what I wanted. When I finished putting the placenta in the ground and took pictures with my kids, he said "I bet your husband is happy to have THAT out of the freezer."

  3. I love the tree you chose. It is beautiful.
ps. My sister made placenta prints from her two children a few weeks ago before burying them under trees - would you ever consider doing something like that?

  5. I soooo need to deal with both placentas in my freezer. Anyone know of any reason I can't let them thaw, do prints, and then bury them?

The other question: how will my oldest feel when he doesn't have a placenta print because I was groggy on the op table when the OB asked if I wanted the placenta and I refused :**(

  6. I am hoping to have a placenta free freezer soon too. I LOVE the tree you planted. Maybe that would be a good compromise for me, because I really want Rose to have a rose bush with her placenta under it but I like the symbolism of a tree... this could get both of them!

  7. I am glad to know it took you a year to bury the placenta, I was just thinking the other day how long it could potentially be in there. And to label the bag, in all of the mayhem no one in my house thought to label it. I can't tell you how many times we've pulled out the placenta and said, "what kind of meat...oh, the placenta"
