Birth story, super-short version:
Contractions started at 1 am. I made myself stay in bed and try to ignore them until 7 am. Two hours after I got up, I had a baby!
We've been nursing...
Cuddling skin-to-skin...
Getting to know each other...
And just relaxing.
Welcome earth-side, little one!

Congratulations! I had a feeling that (a) you would have her today and (b) you were having a girl. I only hope I have that kind of intuition for my own kids.
ReplyDeleteAnd I want to thank you for the pictures. I've been worrying for a long time that I will never be able to get pregnant and give birth (extensive family history of endometriosis is the cause of my fears). When I looked at the first picture in the post, something whispered to me, "Yes, this will be you."
My husband also thought the picture was beautiful. I was actually afraid he would be squeamish about it, but he wasn't at all.
Oh I'm so glad she's here! And she's so beautiful! I love Zari's ecstatic facial expression!
