Our bodies are amazing. I appreciate seeing your post partum shots and wish I had taken some as well. I hope to have one more child and your blog has inspired me to better document my body pre and post birth.
And Inga is adorable. She looks like she has that calm alert demeanor that babies who are born gently often seem to have.
Congratulations. I haven't been by in awhile, but at 20 weeks preggo planning my 2nd homebirth, 1st time with midwife, just read 20 of your posts in a row.
Thanks for sharing even though it subjects you to unfocused criticisms. The birth sounded just about perfect. I understand after my UC how it won't be much different now with help-I'm grateful for all the possibilities.
Amazing how fast they grow out of the "newborn" look and develop the baby chub! She is adorable!
(Also, isn't it amazing how fast the body remembers what it looked like before the baby? Sure took longer than two weeks for that belly to appear, and now it's mostly gone!)
With those long fingers you may have a pianist :)
ReplyDeleteI love the "reverse pregnancy" belly pictures. Crazy how fast it happens! And Inga is just beautiful.

Wow, Rixa! These transformation pictures are great. I, too, wish I'd documented this change better.
ReplyDeleteHer eyes remind me of Zari - the deep, wisdom-filled pools. She's beautiful.
I love that you are posting these pictures! It's something I don't see often. You look beautiful!
