I love it when Eric comes home early enough to take the kids outside while I finish dinner (it's my day for our dinner co-op). We're eating country tomato bisque, artisan bread with caramelized onions, and dark chocolate brownies.
Can you say more about your dinner co-op? Since I've had my daughter, I find it silly that we're all isolated in our houses trying to cook our own little pot of beans.... makes me wanna live in a commune/co-op. In the meantime, we've had afternoon gatherings to make a huge pot of something and everyone takes home dinner for the night. I'd love to know the logistics of yours and maybe try it out here. Thanks :)
If you click on the "what's for dinner?" button on the left (scroll down a bit) it will take you to my post explaining our dinner group. Basically the 2-3 families take turns cooking & delivering dinner once a week. So I cook once a week and get dinner 1-2 times/week (depending on how many families are in our group). It's one of the best things I've ever done regarding food.
Sounds yummy! I'm jealous. We're at the "crank out that dissertation stage", so Mr. M is only home to sleep and sometimes to eat.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds DELICIOUS! Very nice to have some daddy time before dinner...our 3-6 o'clock hours are generally a little crazy.
ReplyDeleteI sent you an email, but just in case it got lost, you can email me at thefeministhousewife at gmail dot com.
