French apartment renovations, Day 676: Two birthday celebrations, the return of the campers, and our first official guest

So much going on today! It's late so here are the highlights:

• birthday lunch with Ivy and my friend
• thrift store shopping for clothes with Ivy and my friend--we all found something fun
• the campers came back this evening--tired, sunburned, and very glad to be in a warm bed instead of freezing in a tent
• we celebrated Dio's birthday today, opened presents, and had 7 different patisseries instead of a big cake (from a local store called Lac...mmm....)
• the plumber did his final visit and connected the kitchen and bathroom sinks and got the water heater going
• my friend officially moved downstairs to the apartment and is our very first guest!!
