Debate night

We let the kids all stay up late to watch the vice-presidential debate. It was definitely much more restrained than the presidential debate!

Vance kept going off-topic and talking about these millions of illegal immigrants who are single-handedly responsible for...

• overrunning entire cities
• taking all of the good jobs
• creating record housing prices by buying up all the housing
• bringing in record levels of fentanyl and other drugs
• probably 1000 other things that he wants to scapegoat someone for

I want to meet these crafty immigrants. I mean, surely they would be on the upper echelons of America by now, given how they have (according to Vance) so successfully taken over everything. Right?

Anyway that's it for American Political Theater for tonight.

Inga and Ivy had a soccer game, winning 4-0.

I did mostly breech work and a tiny bit of work on the carriage house (scribing the bottom layer of nickel gap siding that will go up on the dividing wall). I need to get the table saw set up so I can cut the lines that I marked. Of course they are not straight, but curved. Of course. That will be fun.
