Baby pictures: Nov 9th

We are all doing our best to get as much sleep as possible. Zari is definitely the winner though. She even likes to take a nap in the middle of feeding, unless she is desperately hungry. This works out well, though, because it gives me some time to check my email (I keep the laptop on bed next to me) or write in my journal.

Eric took this picture before going to class this morning:

Zari has inherited my serious look. It always throws people for a loop--they think I'm mad when in fact I am just fine. I remember when I was engaged, people at church were concerned about me because "Rixa just isn't glowing enough." I was perfectly happy; I just didn't feel the need to plaster on a fake smile all the time.

  1. Yay, I'm so glad you posted again. Zari is so pretty, and I love to see more pictures of her. What are all the rolled up things next her?

  2. They are extra sleeper sacks like the one she is wearing. Eric's sister lent them to me, and I wanted to take a picture of all of them so I remembered which ones were hers.

  3. I love the one with her hands curled underneath her head. How innocent, and wonderful. This is making me very baby hungry. :)

  5. Haha, I love the last pic: all the pink onesies set to the side, and baby wearing a green one! I'm not sure if that was your intent when taking it, but it struck me as amusing.

I love the first pic too. I love how her hands are curled up like kitty cat paws. What an amazing child you have!

  6. Jill, come to think of it putting her in green was intentional. I don't mind pink if it's in moderation--like any other color. My sister-in-law lent me these sleepers, and I had just pulled them out of the package to take a picture of them (so I'd remember which were hers). It's crazy how the girl's section is an ocean of pink. Yuck. Can't we even have a wee bit of variety please?
