This one is flying by for me too. I haven't had as much time to focus on it as I did last time around. And since it was only in this last month that I started feeling movement, noticing my belly growing, and hearing heart tones, the pregnancy didn't really seem to start until them.
I'm fairly tall and there's a lot of room in my torso for everything to fill in & up before it goes out.
I found with my second that it was really hard for me to connect. I could tell his personality, but i was so consumed with taking care of Roan that I didn't feel connected with him until it came time to give birth and then I felt like we were working together so well. After he was born it was as if he'd always been there, he fit in like a little puzzle piece of our lives... but during pregnancy.. I dunno. Have you felt that way?
Wow, what a cute teeny tiny belly. =) I'm 16 weeks now and I look like I'm overdue, and I've been feeling movement for at least 6 weeks now..it's weird with the third I guess, that and I'm really short yet for some reason grow babies 8 pounds and up....
You know, I don't know if I ever felt connected--in that mystical sense of feeling the child's personality, or knowing the gender, or whatever--with a baby during pregnancy. It was surprising (but not) that a REAL BABY came out of me and a bit impossible to psychologically reconcile up the inner kicking and squirming baby of pregnancy with the outside baby.
with roan i knew i was having a boy before i ever confirmed i was pregnant with a positive pregnancy test. i knew without a shadow of a doubt that i was pregnant (even with a negative blood test and a nurse telling me i "definitely" wasn't pregnant) and i knew he was a boy.
my husband laughed at me, but i won the bet we had at the sonogram to confirm what i already knew.
second time around i had no clue, but hoped for a girl. lol
Me too...with my first and second..I knew. I knew Gage was a boy, I knew Logan was a girl. This time around...I have no idea...I think it might be Godzilla.
Other people's pregnancies just fly by!! I can't believe your little one is halfway baked. Yay!
ReplyDeleteYou're tiny!! I looked ready to give birth at 20 weeks and I'm not due until March...
