Oh I did the same thing!! I'll have to post it on my blog so you can see mine, it was amazing how quickly it returned to normal... breastfeeding rocks!! :)
This is amazing! It always fascinates me how the belly just pops back to half its size or less in only hours. And then a week later, it's almost gone. And then you look like 4 months pregnant, and that just doesn't go away... ;-) At least in my case. You look beautiful! Congratulations. Nadja
You look beautiful, Rixa. For me, it was amazing how fast it went down... to a point. Then it just stuck there forever! It's doing better now, but then my baby is 2 1/2!
Funny! The word verification is "faster." How appropriate!
I had my first baby last summer, and that was the only thing that was worse than I expected. I mean, even contractions weren't as bad as "they said". But nobody told me I'd still look pregnant after the baby was out! Ha! I'll know better this time.
Unrelated, but do you know when the new edition of Obstetric Myths vs. Research Realities is going to come out? Last time I heard it mentioned it was supposed to be late 2010... is there a date yet?
In truth , it's not really as "rapid" as we hope it will be.
ReplyDeleteRelax and enjoy your babymoon
You look great for one day after giving birth! Hope you are enjoying your newly expanded family!

ReplyDeleteI love how confident and proud you look with it :) The postpartum belly is something that a lot of women don't want to talk about!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Sara R. I wish we all could have the attitude of how cool and amazing our bodies are instead of being negative about it.

ReplyDeleteI love the subtile differences in your facial expressions. Comparing your last two belly photos, postpartum is a happier state!
ReplyDeleteNeat. I wish I would have had the mind to do any of this stuff! Love ya
ReplyDeleteGreat idea, I want to do this too after my baby is born. Thanks for sharing!
