92,000

I did a word count on my dissertation manuscript today, and it's in the neighborhood of 92,000. That's a lot of words.

Okay, enough procrastinating...

  2. holy crap. it's tough for me to sit down and write that much unless it's just anecdotal mish mash that floats through my head! and even then, it wouldn't amount to THAT much.

  4. I know one thing. My isn't that long....

I checked my countdown to submission today...26 days until I have to turn the thing in. I can do it. You can do it.

And then someday we'll meet at a birth conference someday and say "I'm glad that's over."

I am seriously impressed. Is it close to done?

  6. Close to done is quite subjective...I've written every chapter and done a revision of most of them. I have one more big revision of each chapter schedule (one per week), which will leave me 4 more weeks of cushion time after they're done to do the final proofreading, formatting, and citation checking. I have to have it all completely done and submitted by the end of October. So Zari's birthday is going to be a HUGE party!

  7. Goodness, I 'm so jealous you're at this stage. I have had terrible trouble with my PhD supervisor so have been procrastinating for months! Good luck!
