Heat wave

Zari, I, and a friend of mine went running this morning at 8:30--much better than 10 am! Zari and I jumped in the sea at the end, which makes the hot, sweaty run worth it.

I got 3 proposals sent off for the 2026 ACOG conference. Whew!

Ivy went to her friends' dance recital and is apparently eating out afterwards. It will be her second dinner.

Zari went with my friend and her nephew to see the new FI film. It was fun but predictable.

Several us went for a late afternoon swim and treasure hunt. Europe is in a heat wave, and we have it relatively easy--just 1-2 degrees higher than normal temperatures. Today was 33 or 34 C (91-93 F). We had no AC for many years, but I am very thankful to have it. We keep the house at a comfortable 26C (78.8 F), just enough to cut the heat and humidity. The bedrooms are turned off during the day and vice-versa with the living room at night. I actually get a bit cold even at 26, since I am sitting where the air blows on me.
