I found an interesting article from Time magazine written yesterday about Melissa Cheyney, an assistant professor of anthropology and midwife, who's working to bridge the gap between obstetricians and midwives. http://www.time.com/time/health/article/0,8599,1898316,00.html
Sarah,It's really interesting, isn't it? Nothing too surprising, but it's the first time someone has actually formally studied OB-MW conflict. I hope that their model for collaboration can help bridge the mistrust and misunderstandings so that birthing women can get better care.
