Here's a picture of me from 2005 with Michel Odent at The Future of Birth Conference in Columbia, Missouri. I don't care for movie stars or famous athletes, but I was definitely star-struck when I met Dr. Odent!
I have (probably) a stupid question...how the heck do you pronounce his name? When I see it I say it in my head as Michael but I have heard it pronounced like Michele...just curious :-)
It's pronounced like "Michelle" and "Oh-daaahn." Well, it's a nasal vowel so it's like "ah" but with a nasal sound mixed in there too, like you're saying it through your nose. You don't pronounce the "t" at the end.
I can't even imagine what a great moment this must of been. I would have been stammering and star-struck!
ReplyDeleteI would have been a blithering idiot.
ReplyDeletei met him and was a complete idiot.
ReplyDeleteLOLOL Pam.
ReplyDeleteRixa, it's so true. I was SO disappointed that he was nowhere to be seen the day I was at the Midwifery Today conference!
so, what did you chat about? :)

To be really picky, it's "Me-shell", not "Mih-shell"
