We have furniture!

We sold our living room furniture with our last house (the sellers fell in love with both the house & the furniture and we were happy to have a buyer so we said okay). Things have been feeling a bit bare until early this week, when our new furniture arrived. Now all the room needs are some pictures on the walls, something with lots of color to break up the green.

  1. Oh, Rixa, that is GORGEOUS! That green is to die for, and the leather furniture looks great. The bones of that room really, really fantastic - great fireplace, windows, hardwood floor, wall color. What fun to have such a great palette to work with. :)

  2. We are really happy with the color. It's Tupelo Tree (Sherwin Williams SW6417). I had it color matched at Home Depot and used the best quality Behr paint in an eggshell finish. I like the shade of green: it has an old feel to it, but also an edgy, modern hint of lime in certain lights.

  3. very pretty! i really like the contrast of the brown leather next to the green walls. :)

i'd be terrified of having such beautiful furniture with the way my kids trash things. some day!

  5. We bought all the rugs in our house, except one, from Rugman.com. I would keep an eye on their sales and buy them only when they were 50% or more off. They are all handwoven, 100% wool (one is wool and silk, actually) rugs.
