Zari is here!

She drove up with Eric and Ivy at 5 pm. We immediately went to a chili cookoff and Trunk or Treat party. Then we came home and watched a movie.

We let Ivy sleep through the early morning game. She wasn't feeling 100%, so she and Eric went just to watch the 2nd game.

I did lots of work on the rental apartment: testing some paint colors, applying epoxy wood hardener on some of the window frames and sashes that were feeling just the slightest bit soft. I also stripped all of the painted hardware, starting with an overnight boil in the crockpot. Some needed an extra bath in paint stripper to get the last bits off.

Inga, Dio, and I went thrift shopping. Dio founds lots of things--pants, shirts--while Inga found nothing. I got a sweater dress, a long-sleeve t-shirt for a pajama top, and a pair of Adidas pants that will be Zari's painting pants. (I'm putting her to work, and paying her, to help paint the rental apartment.)

Ivy and I have an early morning tomorrow for day 2 of the tournament. If they win, we won't be home until 5 pm. If they lose, we'll be home at noon.
