Okay, it was closer to a half-marathon...but still! I ran a ton of errands today. I walked about 16 km (10 miles) all over Nice...grocery store, another grocery store, home to drop everything off, thrift store, supermarket, paint store, home again to drop things off, sports store, hardware store, pharmacy, home again, beach (to read in the sun!), school pickup, home again. Another grocery store, home again. Then after dinner, just a quick walk in the neighborhood to meet with a family who Zari and my cousin will be babysitting for. And back home, of course!
My cousin helped Ivy and her friend bake birthday cake #1 (for tomorrow's family party). Birthday cake #2 will be more ambitious: a 6-layer rainbow cake with chocolate ivy leaves. But that's not until next weekend.
Eric arrived safely to his conference and we were able to talk to him several times despite the big time difference.
Anyway, I'm hoping to get into bed early-ish tonight since of course I woke up at 5:45 am this morning and couldn't get back to sleep!
