Wabash soccer game

After my usual day (exercise, walk & work), we did something a bit different. Eric's English department sponsored a tailgating party during a university soccer game. Free hamburgers, bratwurst, snacks, and dessert. We all met there except Dio, who had an away game.

When we arrived, Wabash was up 2-1. They scored another goal after halftime so we thought it would be a fairly sure win. But then their rival team (DePauw, who they love to hate) scored 2 more goals and the game ended tied at 3-3.

The girls were a bit wide-eyed at being around so many boisterious men. Lots of moustaches, heckling, and bare chests. Way noisier than their soccer matches, where the loudest fans are the occasional soccer mom or soccer dad giving enthusiastic sideline coaching.

Eric drove an hour away to see Dio's game, which they ended up losing 3-1. Too bad.

If you're free tomorrow morning at 10:15 am Eastern, Eric and I are being interviewed by WGN TV, a Chicago area TV station! The program will be livestreaming at wgntv.com. They'll put the interview up on Youtube afterwards if you can't catch it live.
